To the members of the First UMC, "open hearts, open minds, open doors" is more than a slogan, it is the way each of us tries to practice our Christian values each day.
The early service will go just under an hour while the second service can go a little longer. We sing traditional hymns as well as modern praise songs. Once per month, we do a praise service. Typically the first Sunday of the month will include open communion.
Parking is close to the building on three sides. Greeters at the second service at the main doors to the sanctuary will be happy to direct you. If you come earlier in the morning, please just ask anyone and we’ll be happy to help you find your way.
Dress however you like. Really! At FUMC, you’ll see blue jeans and suits alike.
We provide a nursery for children under the kindergarten age. A children’s sermon is incorporated into both worship services. There is a separate children’s church during the second service. If you decide not to use any of these services and you want to keep them with you, that's ok too because we love kids. "Let the children come unto me."
